In order to place the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SPP1) Operations on a level that sustains public confidence in its capability to consistently produce water of the required quality and quantity, Sungai Harmoni Sdn. Bhd. (SHSB) had embarked on a two step process of obtaining accreditation to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. In October 2000, the SSP1 Laboratary was conferred with the Seal of Accreditation (ISO/IEC Guide 25) by the Jabatan Standards Malaysia under the Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia (SAMM) scheme. The SSP1 Laboratary was subsequently elevated to the ISO 17025 accreditation in October 2002.
 SIRIM had carried out the compliance audit on the SSP1 operations in November 2002 and we are pleased to inform that SSP1 was conferred with the ISO 9001:2000 accreditation on 21 March 2003. The effort to achieve ISO 9001:2000 certification was undertaken entirely in-house by the SSP1 team and the certification is a testimony to their team-work, commitment and dedication. |
